Here at EnergyCare Group, we currently offer 3 types of boiler, combi, standard and system. The type installed in your home will depend on your home’s requirements and current heating system.
Combination boilers are connected to the main water supply and are constantly on standby, once a tap is turned on the boiler will heat the water through a heat exchanger. Therefore, there is no need for a separate hot water cylinder or cold water tank. Due to the size of a combi boiler, they are perfect for homes with little space.
Combi boilers are available in all fuel types and here at EnergyCare Group, we only supply boilers from top of the range manufacturers including Worcester Bosch and Vaillant.
Also known as conventional, standard or regular, open vented boilers feature a traditional set-up which includes a heating system, hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank. These types of boilers are obviously a lot larger than other types such as combi boilers.
A standard boiler may be suggested in older homes as the existing system is most likely standard and therefore installation is made easier and quicker. An open vented boiler may also be advised if you live in a large house or a house with low water pressure.
A system boiler, just like a regular (conventional) boiler works on the principle of stored hot water. However, a system boiler differs from a regular boiler in some important respects.
Firstly, many of the major individual components of the heating and hot water system are built into a system boiler, which means that installation is quicker, neater, easier and more efficient.
Secondly, the hot water is pumped from the system boiler through the heating system to the radiators and hot water cylinder, resulting in a fast response and more economical running costs. The system boiler removes the need for a feed and expansion cistern.

My boiler broke down and with the current weather I wasn’t in a particular rush to get a new one. I had a quote from a number of companies and Energy care were a lot cheaper than other companies offering the same service.
I am pleased with the service provided. Boiler installed quickly when my one suddenly broke down.
